Myanmar participates in the Ms.
Universe 2013 Pageant for the first time in 50 years. Daw Soe Yu Wai of
Hello Madam magazine is also the organizer of the Ms. Myanmar Universe
pageant. She comes to New York from Yangon, Myanmar to interview Olivia
Culpo, the reigning Ms. Universe queen of 2012, with VOA's Kaye Lin.
They discuss what the Ms. Universe pageant means. The 2013 Ms. Universe
pageant will take place in Moscow, Russia in early November.
